2009 WAS THE 3RD UK BASED GRADING BY THIS PRESTIGIOUS GERMAN SOCIETY BUT ONLY THE 1ST STALLION GRADING OUTSIDE OF GERMANY.  THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PRESENTED THEIR HORSES AND TO ALL WHO HELPED TO MAKE IT A SUCCESS.

STALLIONS  were presented on SATURDAY, 29th AUGUST and                                   MARES, FOALS & YOUNGSTOCK were presented on SUNDAY, 30th AUGUST

MOULTON COLLEGE EQUESTRIAN CENTRE

The venue again this year was MOULTON COLLEGE EQUESTRIAN CENTRE in Northamptonshire which has proved to be  a very popular venue both in 2008 and 2009 and offers excellent modern facilities whilst being central for the UK and easily accessible from all major motorways.

INTRODUCTION TO ZfdP

The Zuchtveband für deutsche Pferde e.V. (Bredding Association for German Horses)  was founded in 1974, and has been recognized by the German Horse
Federation (FN) since 1984.
ZfdP is the only Breeding Association registered in all countries of Germany and
taking care of nearly all horse breeds bred in Germany.

In order to achieve this the ZfdP holds a large number of stud books  - a list can be found on the Breeds page on this web site or at www.zfdp.de/rassen.php

The motto of ZfdP is:
OPEN MINDED + LIBERAL + PROGRESSIVE

This means, for example that all stallions registered in other recognized breeding associations within the EU are recognized by and registerable with the ZfdP.
There will be no discrimination against the origin of a horse or its colour.

The ZfdP is a member of the German Horse Federation and all stud books held are  eu recognised.

This event is open to all breeds for whom the ZfdP holds a stud book. The 'German Riding Horse' book requires a minimum of 4 generations of full pedigree. 

The UK Knabstrupper Association (UKA) is pleased to be working with the ZfdP to present this event giving owners of existing ZfdP registered horses the chance to register and grade their offspring in the UK as well as encouraging non ZfdP registered horses to join this prestigious society.  The UKA is the UK Defra approved Passport Issuing Organisation and Breed Society for the Rare Breed Knabstrupper.

PROGRAMMES EACH YEAR WILL INCLUDE HORSE ADVERTISEMENTS BOTH FOR SALE AND STUD OR JUST FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES - PLEASE ENQUIRE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADVERTISE IN THE PROGRAMME.  ALL COMPETITORS WILL RECEIVE A COPY OF THE PROGRAMME AND EXTRAS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ON THE DAY AT THE ENTRIES OFFICE IN THE VIEWING AREA OF THE ARENA
